FIRST GAME: CHECKERS

FOR 2PLAYERS

CONTENTS
:CHECKERS

OBJECT OF THE GAME

:Capture all of your opponent's checkers or position
pieces so your opponent has no available moves

Set up

-position the board so each opponent has a dark colored square on their bottom left

-One player takes all 12 light colored checkers, the other takes the 12 dark colored checkers.

-Arrange all 12 checkers, one on each dark spot in the first 3 rows of the gameboard,
beginning with the row closest to each player.

-Basic movement is one space forward, diagonally

Let's play

The player with the darkest colored checkers goes first.
Determine who gets those checkers with the toss of a coin

- If your opponent's checker is on a foward diagonal next to one of
your own checkers, and the space beyond that checker is empty,
then your checker must jump your opponent's checker and land on the dark space beyond

-Remove (capture) your opponent's checker from the board.
If more than one capture is possible, it must be made, choosing whichever path is preferred. Your checker must continue to jump until there are no more jumps available.

-When your checker reaches a dark spot on the first row on your opponent's side of the board, it is crowned (place another checker on top of the one on the board to distinguish) and becomes a king. your turn ends there

- A King can move one space backward or forward, diagonally. The King, too, must take all available jumps. In each jump, the King can only jump over one opposing piece at a time, and it must land on the dark space just beyond the captured piece.

-The King cannot move multiple spaces before or after jumping a piece.

-Kings may be jumped and captured by ‘regular’ checkers.

To WIN

: Capture all of your opponent’s checkers or position pieces so your opponent has no available moves.

LET's play

-The youngest player goes first. Play moves left.

-Player 1, turn any 2 cards faceup.

-If they match you keep both cards.

- Continue for as long as you keep finding identical pairs.

 - If you turn over 2 cards that are not identical, place them both facedown again in their same positions.

-Play moves left to Player 2.

-Continue taking turns trying to find identical pairs.

-The game ends when all pairs have been found.

To win

:Be the player with the most matches after all of the cards have been turned over.

THIRD GAME: SNAKES AND LADDERS

FOR 2~4 PLAYERS

OBJECT OF THE GAME

-Be the first player to land on the 36 square by exact count.

CONTENTS: PAWNS X 4, DICE, GAME HOUSE X 1

SET UP

-Give a pawn to each player

LET's play

-Toss a coin to determine who goes first. Play then moves in turn order.

-Player 1, toss the die and move your pawn the number of spaces shown (in number order)

-If your pawn lands on a square at the bottom of a snowflake stream, move your pawn up to the space at the other end of the snowflake stream (i.e., if you land on 4, you move all the way to space 19).

- If your pawn lands on the leaf at the top of a leaf trail, the pawn moves down to the square where the leaf trail ends. So, if you land on 22, you move back to 17.

-If you land on a square in the middle or top of a snowflake stream or the bottom of a leaf trail, just stay put.

-If a 6 is rolled, you get an extra turn. First, move the piece forward six squares and then roll again. If you land on any snowflake streams or leaf trails, follow the instructions for snowflake streams and leaf trails to take your extra turn. As long as you keep rolling sixes, you can keep moving.

-Players keep tossing the die and moving spaces.

-The first person to reach the 36 square wins BUT, if they roll too high, their piece “bounces” back. For example, if a piece is on square 33 and the player rolls a four, they move the game piece to 36 (3 moves), then “bounce” back 1, to 35. If square 35 is the top of a leaf trail, move down the leaf trail.

-The game is won only by rolling the exact number needed to land on the 36 square.

TO WIN

:Be the first player to land on the 36 square by exact count.

-Player 1, lay the first domino in the center of the table faceup.

-Player 2, place a matching domino next to the first domino.
