① Preparation, ② Trick-Taking, ③ Progression of Evil

[ad]

<Game Process>

1. Preparation

(1) 10 Cards will be dealt to each player.

(2) Then select 1 Card, and exchange them both face down.

(3) The number of cards exchanged

increases in direct proportion to the number of rounds.

(4) If you hold 2 or more Potion Cards in the Preparation Section

at least on of them must be exchanged.

2. Trick-Taking

(1) The position of the Identity Marker determines the Starter of each round.

(i.e. Dr. Jekyll will always start the First Round.)

(2) Players will each play a total of 10 Tricks per round.

The Turn-Orders for the Trick are as follows:

The Starter plays a card face up.

① If the Starter plays a Color Card

The opponent must play a card of the same Color or a Potion Card.

② If the Starter plays a Potion Card:

The Starter must declare a specific Color.

Then, the opponent must play a card of the same Color.

(A Potion Card cannot be played in the given situation.)

If the opponent doesn't have any in either situation, they may play any other card.

(3) The players will compare both cards after the Trick.

① If both cards have the same Color

The card with the higher number wins.

② If both cards have different Colors:

The card with the higher Rank wins.

(Refer to the <Color Rank> section below.)

③ If any player played a Potion Card:

Resolve the Effect, then the card with the higher number wins.

(Refer to the <Potion Effect> section below.)

(4) The Winner of the Trick will take both cards, and begin a new trick as a Starter.

3. <Color Rank>

The Color Rank will be determined by the order in which Colors are played in each round.

Place the Tokens on the Game Board in order they appear, starting from left.

(i.e., The first Color to appear in the first Trick will take the leftmost space.)

As the Tokens are positioned further to the right, the Rank will gradually increase.

As to say, the Color Rank is determined by its position.

The Color Rank will not be changed during the given round once it has been determined.

Potion Cards cannot be ranked since they do not have a Color.

3. <Potion Effect>

The Effect of the Potion Card is determined by the card play by their opponent.

The icons of the Tokens are the reminder.

(1) Pride Card (Purple)

The Winner of the trick will take an additional card from their opponent.

(2) Greed Card (Green)

Both players will exchange 2 Cards simultaneously.

(3) Wrath Card (Red)

Remove every token from the game board; the Color Rank will be reset.

The next Color to be played will take the lowest rank and continue.

When Potion Cards are played twice, Effects will be neutralized; nothing will happen.

(Still, the card with the higher number will win.)

The + Symbol on the Potion Card implies higher but not above the given number.

5. Progression of Evil

(1) Compare the number of cards each player won after the Trick-Taking section.

Subtract the lesser score from the greater score.

(2) The result will indicate how may space Marker will move over to Mr. Hyde's side.

(3) NOTE: EVIL IS RELENTLESS!

Even if Dr. Jekyll won more scores, the Marker is unable to proceed to Dr. Jekyll's side.

<How to Finish the game>

If the Marker does not reach the last space by the end of the Last Round,

Dr. Jekyll wins. (If not, Mr. Hyde wins.)
